Description

Helps workers who have lost jobs, through no fault of their own, to gain access to federal and state programs for retraining and re-employment.

Coordinates 16 AFL-CIO (American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations) central labor councils, 55 local and state-wide trade councils and approximately 600 local unions around the state. Conducts political lobbying on labor issues at the state level.
