Eligibility

Anyone with an ostomy, temporary ostomy or continent procedures.   Also serves medical professionals, relatives and friends.

Voicemail only. Calls are returned in 24-48 hours.

Call and leave message on voicemail.

Fees

Membership fees: $25/year for local membership and publications. New ostomates, upon request, are sent monthly bulletin at no charge for 3 months.

Description

Support line answers questions about ostomies and continent procedures via phone. Mails out packets of information for those who need additional information. Website offers health education resources, including ostomy literature, and information on ostomy supplies. This organization works with the American Cancer Society, Cancer Lifeline and Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.  

Providing organization

Greater Seattle Ostomy Association

Provides information and support services for persons with ostomies and temporary ostomies. Monthly meetings provide emotional support for patients and their families. Distributes limited donated supplies (not all products are available) to those in need or wanting to try available products for colostomies, ileostomies, or urostomies.
