The Washington Migrant and Asylum-Seeker Support Project (WA MASS Project) is a new project that helps newly arrived immigrants and asylum seekers in Washington State connect to services. The services are limited and free; they include legal assistance, case management, and housing. WA MASS Project services are provided by more than 20 organizations that work together to help immigrants in Washington with their legal case as well as to find a place to live, and learn to navigate different resources and services.

Maintains a web page featuring materials regarding immigration, legal information, and eligibility for benefits, as well as legal resources and community supports.

Provides legal information and advice for the following issues depending on attorney availability:   -  Auto accidents - Birth injuries -  Consumer law - Criminal defense -  Family law -  Finance -  Immigration -  Landlord-tenant law -  Medical negligence -  Personal injury -  Property law -  Worker's rights/wage claims

Intensive case management for refugees, asylees, and SIV holders who have complex health issues and need assistance navigating the medical system.

Operates legal clinics providing free 30 minute consultations with an attorney. Focus is on Korean and Korean-speaking clients. Clinic attorneys can: -  Determine whether the client has a legal problem -  Suggest possible options -  Help answer papers, summons and requests -  Provide appropriate referrals   Neighborhood legal clinic attorneys may not have expertise in all areas of the law, but they will make every attempt to answer questions accurately. Attorneys CANNOT give advice on criminal legal issues or provide representation on any legal matters.

Chinese Information and Service Center, Asian Bar Association of Washington, and Asian Counseling and Referral Service partner with the King County Bar Association to provide a free legal clinic. Pro bono attorneys work with staff and volunteer interpreters to give consultation and legal advice around family law, immigration law, landlord-tenant disputes, employment law, and other areas. Operates a legal clinic providing a free 30-minute consultation with an attorney (60 minutes if an interpreter or other accommodation is needed) Clinic is open to all, but particular focus is on providing culturally-informed legal services in a safe and welcoming environment to individuals who identify as African American or Black. This clinic is staffed primarily by attorneys of color. Clinic attorneys can: -  Determine whether the client has a legal problem -  Suggest possible options -  Help answer papers, summons and requests -  Provide appropriate referrals   Neighborhood Legal Clinic attorneys may not have expertise in all areas of the law, but they will make every attempt to answer questions accurately. Provides legal representation and community education to low-income refugees and immigrants in Washington state.   Assists with:   -  Applications for political asylum - Applications for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status - For Afghan immigrants, we assist with OAW Asylee Adjustments - I-130 Family petitions -  Petitions under the Violence Against Women Act, U-visa, and T-visa -  Other immigration applications, including naturalization -  Applications for renewal/replacement of green cards and work permits - Representation in removal proceedings Does NOT provide assistance with:   -  Initial DACA applications   -  Student (F-1) visas or tourist (B-1) visas -  Employment-based visa petitions -  Investor visas   -  Questions from employers about immigration    Call NWIRP directly for information on how and when to sign up for their monthly family petition workshop. Workshop attendance is required in order to receive additional family petition assistance.

Provides individualized assistance in preparation and filing of naturalization applications, including legal representation.

Counsels, mediates and advocates on behalf of Muslims who have experienced religious discrimination, defamation or hate crimes. Also provides referrals, if necessary, to attorneys who can assist with workplace, immigration or school discrimination as well as other forms of discrimination.

Provides low-cost immigration counseling services to refugees, asylees and immigrants. Answers questions about navigating the immigration process. Offers a wide variety of family-based immigration services such as lawful permanent residency, asylum and deportation, employment authorization, deferred action for childhood arrivals, as well as naturalization and citizenship.

Multiple programs that offer case management, care coordination, ESL Classes, Civis classes, social engagement programs, Senior Volunteers, etc.

Provides legal immigration assistance to low-income residents of Washington. Offers the following immigration services: - Affirmative asylum for Afghan clients only - Family reunification - Citizenship/naturalization (including fee and disability waivers) - Adjustments of status (Green Cards) - DACA applications and renewals - Travel documents for people who are not citizens and wish to travel outside of the US - T Visa, U Visa, VAWA Visa - Employment authorization - Replacement of green cards - Mock interviews - Accompaniment to USCIS interviews - Consular processing - Resources/referral Also conducts community outreach to enhance awareness of the benefits of citizenship and to encourage people to apply for it. CHECK LANGUAGES - CANNOT PROVIDE INTERPRETERS FOR MOST LANGUAGES.

Provides guidance and referrals to low-income immigrants and refugees living in King County who are in detention, facing removal or losing their immigration status.

Provides free, monthly, 30 minute legal clinics for family law and Immigration legal needs with a focus on serving the LGBTQ Latinx community. Volunteer attorneys work with clients to identify legal needs, potential legal actions and connect clients to further community legal services.   Assists with Office of Immigrant & Refugee Affairs (OIRA) legal clinics, with a particular focus on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program recipients and their family members.   Helps clients prepare for citizenship by confirming eligibility and providing free naturalization classes and workshops.    Lawyers and legal volunteers assist clients complete their N-400 naturalization petition and reviews them for accuracy.

Intensive case management for asylum seekers and granted asylees up until they receive their green card.

Provides an immigration clinic where clients receive a free 1-hour appointment with a volunteer immigration attorney for advice and consultation on immigration legal issues, including citizenship. ELAP does not handle asylum or removal cases. Clinic is available regardless of immigration status. Attorneys at the clinic do not provide representation or accompany clients to court.

Helps immigrants with routine immigration matters, such as applying for green cards, family reunification, employment authorization and citizenship. Assists with the immigration process for refugees and those who want to be reunited with family members abroad. Provides refugee resettlement services for State Department Assigned refugees and those with Special Immigrant Visas (SIV).

Case managers provide assistance in accessing basic and emergency resources, naturalization assistance, individual ESL instruction, public benefits application procedures. Provides Obama Healthcare and WA Apple Health ( Medicaid) health advocacy. Assists clients in applying for unemployment benefits and SNAP/EBT. Intensive case management services assist immigrants and refugees in overcoming barriers to self-sufficiency that are caused by difficulty in accessing and appropriately utilizing the health and human service systems. Home visits are available.

Provides Behavioral Health Counseling, Immigration Assistance and Social Services. Offers mental health counseling and case management; assistance with immigration status adjustment (green cards/citizenship) and family reunification; senior programs with hot meals and activities; parenting education and family support.

Assists refugees with the forms and procedures required to apply for permanent residency or citizenship. Also provides emergency rental assistance from the Seattle Housing Levy funds to existing clients (Seattle site only).
